Tom Maher is one of the founders behind Original Patty Men, a burger restaurant and street food operation, and Kilder, a bar specialising in craft beer/cider, natural wines and food in Birmingham city centre. The OPM brand was conceived in 2012 and started operating as a street food trader which he continue to do today, touring music festivals and food events around the UK. 3 years later he opened the first bricks and mortar location for OPM which was followed a further 2 years later by the bar Kilder. Since then he has opened 2 other satellite locations around the Midlands, setting up OPM in a food hall and pubic house.
