Lisa Maffia
Lisa Maffia is a British singer, songwriter and media personality best known as the leading female member of the pioneering UK garage collective So Solid Crew. Born in Brixton, London, she rose to prominence in the early 2000s as part of the group behind the chart-topping single “21 Seconds,” which reached number one in the UK and helped define the UK garage movement. Following the group’s success, Maffia launched a solo career, scoring major hits including “All Over,” which reached number two in the UK Singles Chart, and “In Love.” Her debut album First Lady showcased her blend of R&B, garage and hip-hop influences and cemented her reputation as one of the leading female voices in UK garage.
Beyond music, Maffia has built a broad media and business career. She is a presenter and one of the voices on Capital XTRA, where she champions UK music and culture. She has also recently launched Maffia Rum, a premium rum brand that reflects her Caribbean heritage and entrepreneurial drive. Today she continues to perform, broadcast and support emerging talent while contributing to the ongoing legacy of UK garage.
