Hungry Horse brings pub favourites to Uber Eats in first delivery trial
Hungry Horse is offering home delivery for the first time, with 31 of its pubs taking part in a 12-week trial with Uber Eats.
The Greene King brand launched the service at five pubs on 22 September, with another 26 set to start taking orders on 29 September. Customers near participating venues will be able to order dishes including Fish & Chips, Steak & Ale Pie, burgers, chicken wings and lunchtime subs. Children’s meals and desserts are also included, along with soft drinks, beers, ciders, wine and alcohol-free options.
Hungry Horse is offering delivery-only deals on burgers, family feasts and big plate specials. Its existing daily deals, including Grill Monday, Mix It Up Tuesday and Curry Wednesday, will remain available to customers visiting the pubs.
The trial is Hungry Horse’s first move into food and drink delivery. The family-friendly brand has more than 150 pubs across the country, while fellow Greene King brand Farmhouse Inns already offers delivery and collection for its carvery meals and cakes.
Clair Preston-Beer, Greene King’s Chief Digital and Commercial Officer, said: “We're thrilled to be bringing Hungry Horse to Uber Eats for the first time, giving customers at home a taste of what the pub can offer. Hungry Horse is all about providing great value food and drinks for the whole family, and this trial will help us to reach new customers and drive experimentation, which we hope will result in more guests choosing us on their next visit to the pub. We're looking forward to gathering feedback over the coming months and, if successful, exploring opportunities to roll the delivery concept out further next year.”
