As a Pub Show 2026 ambassador and Chief Executive of the British Beer & Pub Association, Emma McClarkin knows a thing or two about what makes a great pint, and an even better pub. We asked her five quick-fire questions on favourite orders, industry trends, and what not to miss at the Show.

What’s your go-to pub order? And where is your favourite spot to enjoy it?   

When I’m at the Pub a pint and a scotch egg or Pint and pickled egg at my local brewery Taproom! 

What’s one thing you think every great pub should have (besides a good pint)?   

Nothing beats a warm welcome but clear only information especially about accessibility is really helpful. 

What trend or innovation in the pub industry are you most excited about right now?  

The breadth and depth of the low and no alcohol range. There really is something for everyone!
