With over 120 pubs, bars and inns — and more than 400 rooms across its estate — Butcombe Group offers a truly eclectic collection of venues.  Each property has its own character, reflecting the community it serves; from countryside inns to stylish city bars. The Group’s commitment to high-quality food is clear: ingredients are locally sourced, seasonal, sustainable, and traceable, and the menus are designed with both innovation and value in mind. 

Brewing & Drinks
Butcombe Brewing Co. is based in Wrington (near Bristol), operating a state-of-the-art brewery, while its distribution and bottling plant is located in Bridgwater, Somerset.  As one of the original craft brewers in the region, they produce a range of award-winning beers — from classic cask ales to no-/low-alcohol options — including the likes of Butcombe Original, Tall Tales Pale Ale, and Goram IPA Zero. 

Boutique Inns
Butcombe Group is also growing its accommodation offering through its Butcombe Boutique Inns brand. These are designed to be warm and personal — “home from home” — and currently include a small number of handpicked inns, with expansion planned across the South of England. 

People & Culture
People are central to Butcombe Group’s mission. They employ over 1,800 people across their estate, and place a strong emphasis on training, development, and wellbeing.  The company has also been recognised for its workplace culture, recently being named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work. 

Sustainability
Sustainability is baked into the business. The brewing operations incorporate renewable energy, water-saving processes, and recycling initiatives.  They source ingredients locally where possible, and are actively reducing their environmental footprint.
